Free Printable Easter Escape Room for Older Kids and Adults

Last Updated on April 2, 2025 by Mary

There are only a few printable Escape rooms online that are suitable for older kids, teens, and adults. Today I am sharing a Free Printable Easter Escape Room Game that is perfect for Older Kids and Adults. Younger kids can also enjoy and manage some parts of these puzzles. This Easter Escape room is actually a great activity for the whole family this Easter.

There are 8 different puzzles and I am also sharing hints and keys to this Escape room at the end of this page.

Age Group: 12 plus

However, the age group also depends on the prior experience with escape rooms. The graphics of this game are cute but the puzzles are a bit tricky.

Game Time: 60 minutes +

Supplies Needed

Printed game sheets, a pair of scissors for the game organizer and also for players, and a glue stick for the game organizer, a pen, and paper for the players

This game uses coded envelopes and I am providing printable envelope templates for each puzzle. However, if you don’t want to print so many papers, you can simply use plain envelopes and write down the code number of each puzzle.

This game will need a game organizer who will check the code provided by the players and hand them over the envelope that contains the next puzzle. The organizer will also keep track of the time and can provide tips and help to the players if and when needed.

Free Printable Easter Escape Room Back Story and Puzzle 1

This is the first puzzle. On the left side I am sharing a printable envelope and on the right side is the main Escape Room back story and first puzzle. Just click on the thumbnail of each image and the larger printable sheet will open up that you can save. After printing the sheets, assemble the envelope by cutting it around the edges, folding it from the dashed lines, and securing the sides with glue. Hand the players over this envelope at the beginning of the game.

Now when players bring you the number written on the next envelope, only then hand them over the puzzle

Easter Escape Room Puzzle 2 (free Printable Game for Teens and Adults)

This is the second envelope and game card for this Escape room. The players have to cut the Scrabble tiles around the dashed lines or you can cut the tiles and put them in the envelope with the newspaper’s printout.

Easter Escape Room Puzzle 3

This is a relatively easier puzzle for those who have some experience with escape rooms. Only hand it over to the players if they provide you with the correct code that is given on the envelope. Be a bit lenient if they change the order of the numbers a bit as that part is slightly tricky.

Free Printable Easter Escape Room Game Puzzle 4

This is a slightly difficult puzzle. You can either cut the bunnies around the edges and enclose them in the envelope with the rest of the puzzle sheets or players can cut each bunny around the dashed lines themselves. It all depends on the age group of the players.

Escape Room Printable for Easter, Puzzle 5

This is the puzzle number 5 for this escape room. The players have to figure it out themselves but you can provide them a tip if needed. You can assign a number of tips you can provide at the beginning of the game.

Free Printable Puzzle number 6 for Easter Escape Room

This is another relatively easy part of this puzzle for those who are escape room savvy. Just click on each image to save the larger printable sheet.

Easter Escape Room for Adults Puzzle No. 7

This is again a difficult puzzle that older kids and adults can solve. This puzzle comprises two sheets that you have to print and provide to the players.

Puzzle 8 Printable for Easter Escape Room

This is the last puzzle sheet for this escape room. You have to cut all Tetris tiles around the edges before putting those in the envelope. To make this puzzle more challenging, you can hide the cipher key at some place in the room so players first organize the Tetris tiles in the right order, look for the cipher key and then decode the message. Don’t forget to buy some chocolates and treats for the players for correctly solving the puzzle.

Easter Escape Room Puzzles Tips and Keys

Here are the tips and Solution keys to all the puzzles. You should print one copy of each page and keep it with yourself so you can handover the right envelope to the players and can also give them tips if they need it.

  1. How is it so difficult to print this? Its making me install a bunch of junk and it never takes me to the actual printable escape room.

    1. Just click on each puzzle image one by one and save each larger sheet that opens up. There is no single file but individual large PNGs and they are really easy to download once you follow the method I have described.

  2. Hello, I like the Easter escape room puzzles. I want to incorporate this game at our family Easter dinner. I have been trying to see how to solve each puzzle, but it’s taking me too long.
Is there any way you could give me more of the answers. For example, for puzzle 3, no matter which way I tried, I couldn’t figure out how you came up with the numbers. Is there any way you can send me the highlighted letters for each number.
I am the game organizer for our family gathering and I would like to know who you came up with the numbers. So, when they come to me, I can give them a hint. If it’s not too much to ask.
I am at work, and don’t have the time to spend trying to figure them out. I like to get everything prepared for our Easter family gathering and I have so much to do. So, I greatly appreciate it
I need it for Puzzle 3,4,5,6,7 and 8. Thank you so much.

    1. I am sorry it was not easy, even though I tried my best to be clear in the tips and answer key sheet. I cannot provide you
highlighted sheets as that will be a lot of work but let me try to explain the puzzles here again.
In puzzle three, each number points to the corresponding letter in the grocery list. 1 Thyme bunch means you have to look at the first letter that is T, 1 Honey Bottle again points to the first letter which is H, 3 Parsley means you have to look at the third letter which is R and so on. In puzzle 4 there is a color wheel that shows how different colors are mixed to make colors, like yellow and blue make green, red and yellow makes orange, blue and red make orange. Now look at the bow tie colors of each rabbit. The rabbit with blue and yellow bow tie will go in the green circle. Now look where ears of each rabbit is pointing to. You get a flower color. Now on the color wheel sheet, count till that flower and you will get a number. In puzzle 5 you have to count the tangles from the woven muffler to the wool ball. That will reveal a four digit number. In puzzle 6 players have to look at the letters mentioned on the cellphone. 43 means letter number 3 on digit 4, that is I, 52 means letter 2 on digit 5 which is K and so on… this is how they will decode the message and you can read the decoded message in the answer key sheet. Puzzle 7 is trickier. Names of each item is written in runic alphabets. If you write name of each name under each runic name, you will create a decoder. Now look at the runic alphabets that are connected by the thread. Translate them with the decoder that you have created. The final message is written in cipher and cipher key is provided. I hope this explanation will help you. This escape room is for older kids and adults due to its difficulty level. You can play the other escape room called mansion mystery if you are looking for easier option for family. .
